Jesus is our ultimate example of what it means to serve. At Stockbridge First we believe that following Jesus means that we are called to engage in service in three primary ways: service to the church, service to the community and service to the world.
Service to the Church:
Our congregation's Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister please contact Deborah Stewart at email@example.com.
Service to the Community:
Each week we serve 75 children of Stockbridge Elementary School who are in need, by sending home a bag containing a few supplemental grocery items for students, who otherwise may not have enough to eat. You may help by helping to pack the backpacks, by bringing in some of the items needed, or by making a monetary donation to BackPack Buddies. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feed The Team
Every Friday morning during the football season we provide breakfast for the Stockbridge High School Football team. For more information contact email@example.com.
Helping In His Name Food Pantry
Our church is a regular sponsor of our local food pantry. We provide volunteers each Thursday night from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. If you would like to participate please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Service to the World:
Project 82 Kenya
The mission of Project 82 exists in response to God's call to protect, love and care for orphans in Kenya. Project 82 is committed to ministry solutions that empower the family and surrounding community to care for the orphans among them. Our congregation partners with Project 82 to help protect, shelter, clothe, feed, educate, disciple and support Kenyan children through child sponsorship, work projects and mission trips to the communities where they serve. For more information contact email@example.com or www.project82kenya.com.
